Tanya D, es una de las modelos más constantes en las pasarelas de alta costura, y es que sus rasgos únicos y altura de 1.85 cm, la convierten en el maniquí perfecto para mostrar las piezas únicas de las colecciones Haute Couture. Es por eso que fue una de las modelos favoritas del Director Creativo de Chanel por 36 años, Karl Lagerfeld.
Tanya D. is one of the most consistent models on haute couture runways. Her unique features and height of 1.85 meters make her the perfect mannequin to showcase the one-of-a-kind pieces from Haute Couture collections. That’s why she was one of the favorite models of Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel’s Creative Director for 36 years.
“Me dijiste que no debía importarme lo que pensaran los demás —cuando era una niña e increíblemente insegura—. ‘Eres hermosa, ¿por qué te avergüenzas de ello?’ — No, maestro, ya no. Era tan solo una niña cuando empecé en 2005. Desde entonces, he aprendido mucho. Tengo un gran respeto por todos los que fueron tan amables y protectores conmigo en esta industria, durante tantos años.” mencionó Tanya sobre Karl.
“You told me to not care what others think -when I was a kid and super insecure.. “You are beautiful, why are you ashamed of it?” – no master, not anymore. I was such a kid back when I started in 2005. Since, I’ve learned a lot. I have a big respect to everyone who was so kind and so protective of me in the industry, throughout so many years.” mentioned Tanya about Karl.
